Hence, I am creating a list here of the Top Five most recent milestones that Baby Equis has reached.
2. How to Dance: Equis has quite the ear for music. Every time he hears a beat, whether it's Britney Spears' "I Wanna Go" on the radio or the theme song from Grey's Anatomy, he starts bouncing up and down and swaying from side to side. Let's just say my boy has more rhythm than I have.
3. How to Walk: Every day, Equis becomes more confident in the strength of his legs, and his sense of balance has greatly improved. Instead of holding onto every piece of furniture and pant leg in order to get around, he now excitedly takes steps on his own. Granted, he does not take more than 10 steps at a time, but he's learning to be independent; and the way he laughs as he stomps around is exhilarating. The latest step in the walking game? He can now completely turn around without dropping to his knees!
4. The Magic of Buttons: Equis LOVES buttons. He learned how to press the menu button of an iPhone and slide his finger across the screen to unlock it in less than a minute. He presses cell phone buttons, then holds the phone (upside-down) to his ear. He jabs at the buttons on the remote as he points it at the television; and he excitedly plays "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" on his musical storybook over and over again. Granted, I get frustrated when Equis manages to find pay-per-view shows with names like "Big Booty Delicious" and calls people I haven't spoken to in months, but I have to be proud of my son for being so smart.
5. How to Make People Laugh: Equis has become quite the comedian! He's learned that the "head shaking game" and his dance moves elicit quite a joyful response from those around him so he's quick to please. He also loves to copy people's coughs and laughs. What will he come up with next?
