In the years before my son was born, I kept a digital log of every book I read, when I read it, and all the books I wanted to read.
I used to read at least one book a week.
Ever since I had my son, though, it's been hard to keep up with my reading, which makes me sad!
I still manage to sneak in a little reading now and then, though. My favorite genres are memoir and fiction.
Check out some of my favorite books and the books I hope to read soon below:

Author of The Liars' Club and Cherry memoirs, Mary Karr discusses her fall into alcoholism and her rise out of it in Lit. I started reading this book a while back, but I haven't finished it yet. I must get back into it soon when Equis is sleeping.
Cullen Thomas writes about surviving his travel to South Korea, where he is convicted to 3.5 years in prison on a drug charge. Cullen was my fabulous teacher at Gotham Writer's Workshop, and I can't wait to read his memoir!
A work of fiction about the friendship between Alison and Veronica in 1980s New York. temp. My best friend gifted this book to me some months ago, but I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. She says it's very good!
